Below is a list of steps one should follow when purchasing their cold coverage.

Steps:

1. Figure out what category best describes your body type. Are you top-heavy, pear-shaped, petite, a plus size or thick-waisted?

2. Downplay generous curves with a double-breasted pea coat and criss-cross lapels.

3. Balance full hips with a shawl coat, complete with an oversized, fun-fur shawl collar and hood.

4. Proportion a petite frame with the stroller coat. Its sleek, simple, single-breasted cut will balance and flatter the figure.

5. Cover trouble spots with the coat known as the "waterfall," which cascades from the waist down, skimming past the problem areas gracefully.

Organizing your closet: I have always found that the best way to keep my closet organized is by hanging everything up. From jeans to t-shirts to dresses, hang it all up. This way, your closet always looks full; you never have to worry about anything getting wrinkled and its easier to co-ordinate.

Jean tip: to all the ladies that are thin, skinny jeans are very hot for your body type. I’m talking about tapered jeans…they’re back!! A longer pair is always hot, it even looks good if the back of the jean is tucked into your pumps, match it with a loose top (since the jeans are tight all the way down, you're better off with a loose top, either off the shoulder, or just a plain loose turtleneck).

For my more "curvier" ladies, the darker the denim, the thinner you’ll look. Pale denim will make thick thighs looks thicker, and make the booty look over-board bootylicious, so when applying jeans over your beautiful curves, make sure they are a darker shade of denim.

Shoe tip: Nothing annoys me more to see a flawless shoe with a sticker on the sole of the shoe. Yes I know the bottom of the shoe will only see the ground, but its still part of the shoe. The best trick for this is when you just purchase those cute pumps you’ve been eyeing; soak a cloth in boiling hot water for about ten minutes. Then carefully dab it over the sticker for about 3 ½ minutes - this will weaken the glue and make it very easy to remove the sticker, as apposed to having that yucky sticker gunk left.

Jewelry Tip: We all know jewelry can be very expensive these days. Now that Vintage is very trendy, making a trip to your local second hand store is best for finding old jewelry. I can’t even count how many times I’ve purchased jewelry from Value Village, and the complements I’ve received are overwhelming. What’s also amazing is you’ll be original with your jewelry; the chances of seeing someone else with the same earrings or necklace are slim to none.

Handbag Tip: Ladies and Gentlemen….Fanny packs have made their comeback!!! I’m not talking about those old-school leather fanny packs that were hot in the mid 90s. I’m talking about the new, stylish but yet convenient waist bags. Ladies, just imagine this, no more holding that annoying clutch underneath your arm, no more having to trail around that heavy purse on your shoulders, no more having to put your purse on the dirty club floors so you can dance with joy. These cute fanny packs will carry all of your precious things, and it easily wraps around your waist. They can be dressed up or dressed down. If you’re the “expensive diva” type, Gucci has made their fanny packs in their custom Gucci neutral color, which will match almost everything in your closet.

If you’re on a budget, you can still rock this look with the Guess? Version. Fellas, you can definitely pull this look as well, these fanny packs are unisex.

Fellas: I haven’t forgotten about you. With the spring knocking on our doors, I beg you guys to please get out of those plain t-shirts, and jerseys. Women love nothing more than a man that can dress. So please, dress to impress. Sweater vests are a great look to appeal casual and stylish. These light sweaters look great on top of long sleeve dress shirts, with a pair of jeans underneath, you can even stick to your comfort with a pair of crisp runners. (Keep in mind, its okay if you don’t color co-ordinate). Another great look for men, who like to dress up, is fitted, fun print shirts. They look great with dark denim jeans, or black slacks. This can also be topped off with a blazer (preferably in a dark shade), to go the extra mile, a hat can also be added to this great outfit.

And one more tip for the fellas, when you guys are decked out, please don’t wear white gym socks [what! You think we don’t notice…trust me, we do]. Since you’ve done yourself up from head to toe…stick to it. Wear dressy socks, to go with the rest of your outfit.

Welcome to StyleDocument.com! I must congratulate you on doing what you are doing at George Brown. I knew I had something going for myself as a stylist because:

1. Every time I left my door, I’d always get compliments on the way I was dressed.
2. I have a very creative mind when it comes to clothing.

One day a few years ago, a stranger was telling me that she liked my outfit, and asked me if I'd help her with her outfit for a banquet she had, and I did, went shopping with her, picked out a few outfits, and basically helped her look her best. Since then that’s just what I’ve been doing, helping people look their best. I also was very fortunate to get in contact with Rebecca Weinberg (co-stylist for sex and the city) she basically showed me all the ropes. I am planning on going to Ryerson for Fashion Communications in the fall, and I was also offered an internship with Rebecca in NYC, so we'll see what my future holds.

The most important thing is to get your face and work out there as much as possible, getting educated is also a must, but nowadays it seems like who you know is also just as important, if not more. Well I hope that gave you some insight, feel free to write back and ask any other questions.

The legendary Brazilian artist makes a Santana-style comeback for his first album in eight years, teaming with the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am and a variety of pop, hip-hop and R&B stars, including Erykah Badu, Justin Timberlake, Jill Scott, Black Though, John Legend and more.

This great fusion of hip hop / pop and brazilian culture is packed with live instrumentation by Mendes' group Brazil 66 is a music listeners dream. Sometimes over powered by the Black Eyed Peas (will.i.am) style - did I just hear a reprise of "Hey Mama?" - tracks by Jill Scott ("Let Me") and John Legend "Please Baby Don't" give balance and a musical retreat for the ears. Its a great album to add to the collection if you appreciate world music, and pulsating beats.

ADIDAS ADICOLOR BOX SET
At first glance you maybe thinking to yourself, “Now why in the hell would I want an Adidas box set that looks like it belongs on the Christmas wish list of the afro paint man from PBS?”…and to tell you the truth, that’s a damn good question.

The Adicolor concept dates back to its original introduction in 1983 where specially created all-white models were packaged with 6 (pink, blue, black, red, green and yellow) quick drying weatherproof markers. In 2006 the same concept returns with refined customization tools such as acrylic paints and stencilling spray kits.

The bottom line is that if you’re artistically inclined and think with the right side of your brain, this set will be sure to keep you entertained for hours, but if you’re like the rest of us who just want to crack the box and go, this Adicolor set will better serve as a conversation piece on your mantle.

Be on the lookout however for the Adicolor series that will be designed by some of the world’s most sought after sneaker designers including Twist from San Francisco’s HUF and J-Money from New York’s Dave’s Quality Meat.

Adidas Half Shells City Series “Kingston”
“Out in the streets, they call it…Half Shells?”. Recently there have been a lot of Jamaican inspired designs running rampant in the world of fashion. Roots International, Dior Rasta, the list goes on and on. This attempt by Adidas deserves applause for its creativity but really doesn’t do much in the wearability department.

The black base and yellow sole are reminiscent of a previous Air Force 1 colourway done by Nike a few years ago and the picture of the dread on the back looks like an ancient Mayan relic. The Yardee on the other side of the shoe looks like he’s just about ready to bogle down the place or Willie Bounce himself off the leather.

I see where Adidas was trying to go with this one but I think they missed their mark.

Nike Tiger Woods Dunk High
In the equivalent of what a concept car is to the automotive industry, the footwear industry has samples and the next sample slated for potential production this year is the Tiger Woods Dunk High.

Behind The Scenes:: Cassie Video Shoot for "me&u"

For a year Cassie has been creating a buzz with her music and modeling - locking modeling contracts via Wilhemina Models and banging out hot tracks in the studio with super-producer Ryan Leslie. In a last minute, pick-up-and-go situation, Cassie and Ryan Leslie found themselves in Toronto, shooting a video for Cassie's first single "me&u" with music video director Mr.X [Lil X]. Oh how time flies.

First a consultation with her stylist Marie Eve Tremblay - everything from the accessories, to her main outfit, to the lingerie for the bedroom scene was approved by Cassie and the Next Selection Team.

Next, it was off to hair and makeup. Cassie has flawless skin, so applying makeup was quick and easy for Makeup Artist Ana Sorys.

Cassie's back-length hair was set by Kiwi in pin curls and let loose which have her a sexy, sultry look - perfect for the video concept Mr. X prepared for Next Selection.

Ryan Leslie, Mr. X and the team look over Cassie's footage from the night before which was shot at Dream Nightclub in downtown Toronto.

It has been almost five years since the passing of Aaliyah. In memory of her life and in celebration of her birthday [January 16th, 1979], we have decided to show an evolution of Aaliyah's influential style and fashion sense. She truly was an inspiration to anyone who listened to her music, watched her dance and saw her movies. She was definately taken from us way too soon. We still miss you.

In 1994, a fresh new face and R.Kelly influenced sound hit the scene. This R&B songstress was adorned in [what?] baggy clothes. However, when you unwrapped the cellophane and popped the cassette into your player you realize that this teens voice definitely did not suit her appearance. With tracks like "At Your Best [You Are Love]" & "Back & Forth", Aaliyah definitely had adolescent girls everywhere rocking Kani Jeans and a bandanna to match.

Weren’t we all happy to see Aaliyah gracing the cover of magazines and landing a modeling contract with Tommy Hilfiger? Who wasn’t rocking Tommy Hilfiger back then? Who knew Aaliyah had an amazing body under all those clothes? Summer of 1997 had the radio blasting "If Your Girl Only Knew", "One In A Million", & "Four Page Letter," and ladies all around the world wondering where they could get that Tommy Hilfiger tube top.

How do you feel about combining red with magenta (also known as fuchsia)?"It’s the right thing to do. I hate when people like to match everything. I like combining bold colours together even if they don’t match. Colours make a statement with clothing."
